Synopsis

The short begins with Elsa putting the finishing touches on Anna's birthday cake while Kristoff puts the finishing touches on the rest of the castle courtyard. She leaves him in charge and goes to wake up Anna.

Elsa surprises Anna with a new dress and changes her own as "Making Today a Perfect Day" begins. The song continues for most of the rest of the short.

Following a red string around the castle, Elsa leads Anna to each of her gifts while trying to hold back her sneezes. She doesn't notice the snowgies appearing with each one, all of which end up in the courtyard to keep Kristoff on his toes.

In town, Elsa has even more gifts for Anna, who is pleading with her to go home and rest. She refuses, however, because she wants everything to be perfect for her sister's birthday.

Elsa leads Anna up the clock tower for another gift, but in her delirium nearly falls off. Anna finally convinces her to admit she's sick.

When Anna and Elsa reach the castle courtyard, however, they are surprised by the party Elsa and Kristoff had set up! The snowgies haven't made it easy to keep everything intact, but Kristoff managed, and he finally tells Anna he loves her!

We cut to Anna feeding Elsa soup in bed, and she tells her that her favorite present was getting to take care of her sister.

The short ends with Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf taking the snowgies up to the ice palace.
